This Sunday we hear Jesus continue to teach the crowds that he is the Bread of Life. He tells them—and us—that the bread that he will give is his flesh.
As Catholics, we celebrate this great gift at every Mass. The Eucharist is truly his flesh—his Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—given for us. This belief has the power to change our lives, with each Mass being a reminder to us of how much Jesus truly loves us—that he is willing to give his life to each of us personally, not in a merely symbolic way, but really and truly.
The video I'd like to share with you this week highlights the life-changing power of the Eucharist in the lives of individuals and asks: "What if everything the Catholic Church proclaimed about the Holy Eucharist was actually true? Would it have the power to change your life? Dare to Believe - it would."
As we continue to grow in amazement of the wonderful gift of the Eucharist that has been given to us may we fall ever deeper in love with the God who loves us so much that he still gives us his flesh "for the life of the world." May we become his disciples whose hearts are on fire. And may we share that love with our world.
